New del.icio.us layout: quick review

Το del.icio.us άλλαξε το design του χθες. Το είδα και τρόμαξα. Το απλό, ωραίο και πολύ εύχρηστο minimalistic style έφυγε και ήρθε για να πάρει τη θέση του ένα πολύ άχαρο καινούργιο theme.
Πρώτα απ’ όλα το καινούργιο layout/design είναι πολύ noisy. Δηλαδή, πριν με το παλιό layout το μάτι έπεφτε κατευθείαν εκεί που χρειαζόταν και δεν καθυστερούσαμε καθόλου στο οτιδήποτε ψάχναμε. Είτε links/boomarks είτε ρυθμίσεις κλπ κλπ. Τώρα με το καινούργιο layout η αναγνωσιμότητα έχει δυσκολέψει. Άχαρη κατανομή των υπηρεσιών (network, incoming links, subscriptions, bookmarks) και το structure του site έχει αλλάξει χωρίς να χρειάζεται.
Παλιά το del.icio.us μια από τις πιο απλές δομές και φιλοσοφία λειτουργικότητας, αν όχι την πιο απλή. Π.χ. del.icio.us>unseend>bookmarks. Ναι μεν υπάρχει αυτό ακόμη αλλά δεν φαίνεται. Κατά κάποιον τρόπο σαν να το κρύβουν. Επίσης χρησιμοποιούν άδικα πολλά drop-down menus.
Ακόμη και το Tag It popup-window που βγαίνει όταν κάνουμε bookmark μια σελίδα έχει γίνει πιο δύσκολο στη χρήση. Άδικη χρήση tabs για διαχώριση tags & people.

I love almost everything you have done!
I believe that is one of the most brilliant crisp clear design I have seen and I think you set new standards and patterns in navigation.

Ναι, είναι πιο web2.0ish, εμφανίσιμο και στυλάτο αλλά από ευχρηστία πάει πίσω, εξάλλου για αυτήν και την απλότητα του μιλούσαμε πριν. Style with noise
